Aspire Sports and Cultural Trust is governed by a Board of up to eleven Trustees/directors who give strategic guidance and support to the Trust’s Management Team, which is led by the Chief Executive. All of the Trustees are volunteers and receive no payment for their role.


Like all companies, Aspire Sports and Cultural Trust is governed through its Memorandum and Articles of Association which details the Charity’s purpose as well as mission and aims. The Memorandum and Articles of Association also sets out the process for decision making, Board Meetings and election of Trustees. The Board is required to meet at least four times a year and in 2015/16 the Board met on five occasions in addition to five Trustee working party meetings.
