While working from home has it’s benefits, there are often some drawbacks as well. One of the biggest ones for me is that I don’t have an office space and often find myself writing from my lap. This means I can be easily distracted, because Cheeky Chap or the husband will have the TV on or I may even put it on myself. Without a set area to work from, the blog has once again become neglected.
But not anymore.
In my bedroom I have a dressing table, which I rarely use since the husband sleeps in later due to working late. Most mornings I will take the mirror into the lounge and do my hair and make up there.
As I did in our old flat, I have recently turned my dressing table into a desk area, with the help of Ryman’s personalised stationery.
When Ryman Stationery got in touch with me to ask if I would like a bundle of their personalised products, I couldn’t refuse. My own mug had recently smashed and drinking my coffee from a generic mug didn’t feel quite the same. And I have wanted a Parker ballpoint pen for ages and to get it engraved was just lovely. And who doesn’t need a personalised notebook, with an elastic band for closing and a pen loop? I’m sure my husband would tell you that I have far too many notebooks as it is. I still haven’t decided what to use this one for, it feels like it should be for something special but I’m not sure what.
I just need a few things to complete my set up now. One or two succulents would add a touch of colour and a noticeboard from Sundela for all those letters from school and cubs would be the perfect finishing touches.
