Sleeping {The Ordinary Moments}

Every night before I go to sleep, I get back out of bed and check in on Cheeky Chap. I’m not sure why but it is always these moments, when he is sleeping peacefully, that I notice how he has changed. They are moments I cherish. Moments that I often capture on camera. It doesn’t seem to matter how bad my day has been, if Cheeky Chap has misbehaved, if things just haven’t gone my way, it is these ordinary moments… Continue Reading “Sleeping {The Ordinary Moments}”

Park Life {The Ordinary Moments 17}

We are very lucky living in Bristol. We have a vibrant city with lots of green space and parks. In recent months we haven’t really been outside all that much. The Ordinary Moments 16 #9 ~ The Half Way Point

It’s hard to believe but we are now half-way through the summer break. I almost feel as though we have wasted the last three weeks as we haven’t really done much at all. One of the (few) benefits to having a communal garden is that we have ready made playmates for Cheeky Chap. As long as it is a dry day, we are able to send him out into the garden and, more often than not, at least one other… Continue Reading “The Ordinary Moments 16 #9 ~ The Half Way Point”

The Ordinary Moments 16 #8 ~ Good Enough

This winter has seen me hit by a seemingly never-ending cycle of viruses and sickness bugs which has taken a toll lately. I’ve been tired, emotional, distracted, drained of all energy and I have struggled with not feeling good enough. I’m hoping that a little over two weeks of rest and life at a slower pace thanks to the school holidays, is just what we need in order to break the illness cycle and emotional slump. The end of last term… Continue Reading “The Ordinary Moments 16 #8 ~ Good Enough”
