Wrap It! Body Wrap Review

I shared last week about how I have started the 5:2 way of eating and that I have had great results by eating this way. There are, however, downsides to weight loss. Namely, for me, I am still left with a belly and unsightly stretch marks, something I had never had before putting the weight on last year. Even after having Cheeky Chap I quickly got back into shape with little effort. I accepted that this is not something I can do a great deal about since I am limited in terms of my mobility, after all toning abs tends to require exercise.

Enter in Hannah’s Natural Body Wraps. In the name of transparency and full disclosure, I will be honest here. I have known Hannah a long time, something ridiculous like 14 years, possibly even more actually and for a short time I was her youth leader! Nevertheless, I can assure you that all of my views are absolutely honest. While I am being honest, I will admit that when Hannah asked me if I wanted to review the natural body wraps, I was skeptical. Frankly, I couldn’t see how they would help and I did instead offer to help find her someone who might be more suited to review the products. However, after scanning her Facebook page, I decided to try them for myself.

What is the body wrap?

The Ultimate Body Applicator is a non-woven cloth wrap that is infused with natural ingredients that, according to the website, tighten, tone and firm skin in as little as 45 minutes, continuously rehydrating for firmer, smoother, more youthful-looking skin, and reducing the appearance of cellulite and loose skin. The website also claims that results can be seen as early as immediately after the first application although the best results are seen 72 hours later. Bold claims indeed and I am sure you can understand why I was skeptical!

You can put the wrap on almost any part of your body, such as the stomach, sides, back, upper arms, thighs, or lower legs where you want to see results. Personally, the area that I am most uncomfortable about is my stomach so this is where I have decided to test the body wrap. I applied the wrap to my tummy and wrapped myself in cling film, as advised, to keep it in place. Then I waited for 45 minutes, drinking a pint of water in the meantime as per the instructions before I, nervously, took the wrap off, wondering whether I’d see results.

Admittedly I wasn’t sure initially. Was there a difference? I wasn’t sure. Thank goodness for review products and promising to take photographs.

I felt my skin both immediately after and 72 hours after the first wrap and it was definitely smoother. I also think the ‘pouch’ looks smaller. I had planned to take the photos in the same clothing to give as accurate an impression as I could but I put on a load of washing just before taking my 72 hours photograph! In my 45 minutes photos I do think I look a little more bloated but Hannah reassured me that bloating does happen in some people at first, herself included!

Having used one wrap and being pleasantly surprised by the results, I decided to use another body wrap immediately but you will have to wait and see if the second wrap made any more difference.

A box of four wraps retails at £99 or there is a loyal customer programme whereby you can get them for £58.

Disclosure: I was sent a box of four wraps for the purposes of this review. All opinions are my own.

    1. It IS easy. 500 calories twice a week, the rest of the week you can pretty much eat normal. As a general rule, avoid white carbs on fasting days and stick to protein and plants (so veg). I am putting another post together. x
