Project 366 ~ Week 4

Thank goodness it is the weekend! This has been a long week for me. Every morning I managed to convince myself it was Thursday and when Thursday finally arrived, I thought it was Friday. Maybe I am still adjusting to getting back into a routine after the madness of Christmas and the week of illness after.

Project 366

Day 24 – Cheeky Chap decided to take this rather odd position when he was watching You Tube clips on the iPad.

Day 25 – Some homework after school.

Day 26 – I was really sore and uncomfortable today but wanted to get some studying done, so I decided to do it from bed, the only place that I was comfortable.

Day 27 – The husband had another hospital appointment and once again I went along with him. It turned out to be yet more tests that I wasn’t allowed to be witness too. We didn’t know how long he would be so I waited outside rather than in the coffee shop and had this view for 30 minutes. Isn’t it beautiful? 😉

Day 28 – Following an incident in the playground after school, Cheeky Chap had PS3, iPad and TV privileges removed so I spent some time playing games with him instead. His Paw Patrol themed Frustration is one of his favourites at the moment. It was really lovely to spend some time with him like that and made me realise just how much screen time he has been allowed.

Day 29 – At bed time, we allowed Cheeky Chap to have use of the iPad again. Friday night is the only night he is allowed to stay up late and take the iPad to bed. Admittedly it’s largely because the husband and I want to be in bed ourselves but we don’t see the harm in it once a week.

Day 30 – We decided to head to Weston-Super-Mare for a couple of hours. It turned out to not be as sunny as it was in Bristol, in fact it was rather dull with rain threatening so we spent a small fortune in the arcade on the pier. But just look at that face…

  1. The photo of CC at the arcade is just so cute! We have a slightly later bed time on Fridays, mainly from being knackered. January feels like the longest month ever doesn’t it?

  2. Cheeky chappy looks delighted to be playing air hockey, my husband adores it and The Boy has developed a taste for it as well. I hope that the studying gets a little easier.

Thanks for linking up to Project 366.

  3. Love the photo of CC in the arcade – his smile really lights up his face. I think it’s lovely that he gets his Friday treat with the iPad, but nice to hear you enjoyed some quality screen-free time with him too. My kids definitely spend too long in front of screens too 🙁 Hospitals are such miserable places, aren’t they? I really hope your husband’s tests come back OK.

  4. I’m so sorry you’ve been so poorly and exhausted for such a long time. I do hope that they can sort your meds out soon. I regularly remove screens from my lot – it seems to be the only thing that has any effect! Hope hubby is ok. x

  5. That is one happy face in the arcade.
Oh dear at the privileges being removed, but feel you are quite right to back the school up and let him know it not acceptable. We all love frustration, as did my kids as well long time ago, a game that spans the generations.
