Next May will see the first family wedding since my own just under ten years ago. My little sister is getting married and so far she has booked the venue, the band and the photographer and ordered her absolutely stunning wedding dress. There is still SO MUCH to do. It doesn’t help that she is much like me in that she is both indecisive and a perfectionist.
As joint Maid of Honour along with our other sister, I am trying to be on hand to assist the Bride to Be wherever I can. One thing that has occurred to me is wedding venue decoration. The wedding day falls on a Sunday. There is a wedding at the venue the day before so we can’t get there until midday on the day. The ceremony is at 3pm. The wedding party will want to be spending those last three hours getting ready and relaxing, we don’t want to be worrying about decorating the venue.
At the same time, the idea of contacting a lot of different suppliers, to-ing and fro-ing to negotiate prices and details doesn’t appeal either!
This is where Bidvine comes in.
Bidvine is a website and app that connects people with the services that they are looking for.
You are then taken through a few questions, which will vary depending on which particular service you are looking for. For wedding decoration, I was asked things such as the wedding date, number of guests and whether there is a particular theme. You can then create an account and sit back and wait for ‘bids’ to come in to you. No more spending hours researching different suppliers yourself. The first bids should arrive within a couple of hours but the pros do have up to four days to respond to your request.
The next time I get stuck looking for a service, Bidvine will be my first port of call.
