I don’t know about you but I love browsing eBay. I also actually love buying things and seem to get deliveries frequently when I can’t recall what I’ve bought! Oops. Especially at this time of year, with the nights drawing in, when Cheeky Chap is in bed and the husband is still at work. It’s an excellent way to waste time.
We are currently on the hunt for a new dining table and chairs. Our current table is just too long, plus it’s glass. While it looks nice when it’s clean and clear of junk and washing, it’s absolutely impossible to keep clean. I go through phases of trying to keep it all shiny and honestly, during those times I’m sure I spend most of day attacking it with glass cleaner. I have always been put off buying, or even bidding for, large items on eBay. They’re almost always collection only due to postage and courier costs.
Then I came across Shiply.
Shiply is a service you can use to obtain quotes from delivery companies from one place. It’s a simple process. First of all you select what time of item you need to be collected and delivered and fill in a few details. If it is an eBay item, you can even just enter the item number.
Once you’ve entered the required information, you just sit back and wait for companies to get in touch with you with some quotes. All of their delivery providers are rated and you can read previous customer feedback to help you decide who to use. The prices can be up to 75% less than what you would usually pay because the companies will often choose to bid on your item if they’re in the area anyway.
No longer am I put off buy searching for furniture and other bulky items on eBay and I will be hunting out for that perfect dining table on eBay now, as well as other local selling sites.
Have you ever used Shiply? What did you think?
